San Diego Gas & Electric has teamed up with GreenCharge to install 31 behind-the-meter batteries at 22 schools within the Poway Unified and Grossmont Union High School Districts and has received recognition from the Grid Edge Awards. Information & Energy Services, Inc. managed the installation of the testing equipment and is working directly with GreenCharge and SDG&E to verify savings and load shed from the implementation of this technology.   These batteries are being tested at the two school districts to see how this technology can help manage demand charges in school environments.  To read more about the recognition, please click the link.
